FREE Tesuque Valley Chipper Day 2024
With funding from Fire Adapted New Mexico (www.facnm.org), we are able to hold a community Chipping Day on Sunday, May 5th from 11-3 at the Tesuque Fire Station (located on the east side of Route 73 at Senda de Fuego)
This program is designed to help Tesuque residents maintain a FireWise property by helping them dispose of branches and vegetation. This Chipping Day event gives residents an opportunity to have this vegetation processed at no cost and easily.
Guidelines:
Only material up to 9’’ in diameter can be chipped - brush, limbs, etc.
NO: wood with nails or wire attached, trash, chamisa, construction materials, fence posts, grass, or leaves.
Pile vegetation butt-end out for easy transfer from vehicle to chipper
Program is for Tesuque residents
Please follow directions at the site for processing of your materials
Wood chips resulting from the chipping of your material may be collected and taken back to your property or left at the site. Any remaining wood chips can be picked up on a first come, first serve basis - bring a pickup truck and a shovel or pitchfork for loading.
If you have any questions, contact Rachel White (Tesuque Valley FireWise Coordinator) at rachel3white@gmail.com or 505-470-8450 (text/call).
Special thanks to the Tesuque Fire Station for hosting this event!
